Solvable – this podcast by the Rockefeller Foundation is a multimedia platform aimed at driving awareness of global issues that are solvable in the next generation.  Solvable showcases the world’s most innovative thinkers and their proposed solutions to the world’s most daunting problems such as food waste, poverty, homelessness, political demonization and the tech gender gap.  Journalists such as Malcolm Gladwell and Jacob Weisberg will launch a discussion that acknowledges the complexity of the issues while inspiring hope that the problems are, in fact, solvable.

This podcast would fit well with activities or research on social enterprise.  Students can assess their community needs and think entrepreneurially to solve local problems.  Pair it with children’s books from Stories of Change Agents that showcases real people from communities around the globe who have solved world problems.
