Join us for a Black History Month finale – a one hour Zoom program filled with knowledge, fun, prizes, and PD credits. We will provide videos to share African American businesses from across Arkansas. The entrepreneurs will be available to answer your questions.  All can be shared with your students to introduce them to a burgeoning lifestyle that grew during Covid.  We’ll share the entrepreneurial way of thinking that provides skills for people working for companies, teaching students, solving daily problems, or in starting and operating a business.  The creative and critical thinking necessary for success empowers your students.  This session will feature a Delta farming family, The Carpenters, their legacy in the industry, ways they helped Black farmers, and how they used the Delta resources differently than others. Black Paper Party features creative African American females who used their skills to provide great products to families of all colors.  Lastly, Carl Dunn assessed his skills and started doing what was needed in his neighborhood curing Covid.  It became a business. We’ll provide videos of these entrepreneurs for your students to learn and connect.  Economics Arkansas will provide curricula, books, and game prizes! Entrepreneurial and economic resources will be provided for your students.
