On Nov. 5th, meet Laura Gheen, the founder of Ramo d’Olivo in Bentonville. Laura is interested in healthy food and eating so she did a LOT of research to learn about exceptional olive oils and vinegars. Then she took the leap and started her business which has expanded in size and grown events at the shop. Ramo is quickly becoming a Bentonville shopping, sampling and dining experience! Join Startup Culture from 5:00 to 6:00 for the startup story and some samplings —- including wine. Some of us will stay after the tour for additional tasting of wine and food, at our own expense. This is great time to purchase unique holiday gifts. Follow the link to register. Learn more about Laura and the journey to the founding of Ramo d’Olivo in another post on this blog which includes a video.
A 2nd fall event is tentatively scheduled at the Brewer Family Entrepreneurship Hub in downtown Fayetteville. At this tour we will learn about and play with robots designed by MORE Technologies. These very young entrepreneurs will share their mission of empowering a new generation of thinkers, makers and problem solvers through open-source, customizable robotics kits designed for anywhere a maker’s mind can imagine. Come play with us. Robotic kit discounts will be available to attendees. Robotics kits would make great holiday gifts. Sign up for this event is coming soon.
Startup tours for spring 2019 include Brightwater, EcoVet and Tyson Foods research lab!
