Doug’s story begins as a percussion student at Henderson University. He worked as a wood-worker to pay his way through college. He liked playing the marimba and he kept thinking that he could build a marimba. As he perfected it, as a musician and wood-worker, he kept making improvements until he had a beautiful work of art with an exquisite sound. Today famous musicians treasure his marimbas.
